We continue to put strong emphasis on human resource development through intensive training programs. We have developed comprehensive graduate and post-graduate courses in Disability Management and Rehabilitation, Orthotics and Prosthetics. We have a distinguished, highly qualified faculty whose members have all been trained at the world's leading institutes. We have also started courses at the master trainer level, including Masters in Physiotherapy, Orthopaedics, Spine Surgery, Rheumatology and plan to offer a Diploma in Autism for the first time in the country.

ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University was established by Government of Delhi under the provisions of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act (9 of 1998) read with amendment in 1999, is an affiliating & teaching University that aims to facilitate & promote studies, research and extension work in emerging areas of higher education with focus on professional education, and also to achieve excellence in the respective fields.

PHYSIOTHERAPY AS A PROFESSION
Physiotherapists are health professional who provide services to patients/clients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities or have suffered changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease or other causes.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

The program provides an academically rigorous and practically oriented research based course curriculum with the following objectives:
> To train physiotherapists with advanced knowledge & skill in specialised areas, so that they contribute in rendering highest standards of healthcare in physiotherapy.
> To develop necessary attitude for research in physiotherapy that convincingly demonstrates the outcome of physiotherapy intervention.
> To impart the management & administrative skills of effective services delivery at physiotherapy departments/clinics.

ELIGIBILITY

A candidate must posses Bachelors degree in their respective course that is BPT, BPO & BOT.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

The admission will be made on Merit based on the basis of the marks obtained in common Entrance Test ( CET ) conducted by the University.

COMMON ENTRANCE TEST
Selection of the candidates, who are eligible to apply, shall be made on Merit prepared on the basis of marks obtained in CET for all the programmes as per the schedule given by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University
